Vintage Beswick Beneagles Golden Eagle Miniature Scotch Whisky Decanter J G Tongue 1969

A charming vintage Beswick Beneagles Golden Eagle miniature whisky decanter, produced for Peter Thomson (Perth) Ltd and modelled by J. G. Tongue in 1969.

Finished in a rich glossy brown glaze, the eagle is beautifully modelled with detailed plumage, a powerful hooked beak and an impressive perched stance. The underside retains the original printed markings reading Beneagles Scotch Whisky, Product of Scotland, Peter Thomson (Perth) Ltd, Modelled by J G Tongue 1969, Beswick.

Originally produced as a novelty miniature Scotch whisky container, these distinctive Beswick pieces have since become collectable both as vintage whisky advertising and amongst collectors of Beswick pottery and bird figures. Miniature examples are documented at approximately 11cm tall.

This example is empty and offered as a decorative vintage collectable. Please study the photographs carefully for condition, particularly the bottle opening and stopper area, as these form part of the description.
