Charming vintage Czech wooden marionette by Zdeněk Černý, with the original wooden controller bearing the Výroba Loutek maker’s stamp.

A wonderful traditional character depicting a travelling tramp or wanderer, complete with walking stick, backpack, checked shirt, striped socks and characterful hand-painted wooden face. Constructed with turned wooden hands and feet, fabric clothing and a traditional string-operated marionette mechanism.

A particularly lovely example of Czech puppet making and a great piece for a marionette collector, folk art collection, theatrical display or unusual vintage interior.

Vintage condition with some age-related wear and small marks consistent with use and display. Please see photographs as they form part of the condition description.
