Vintage Ballroom Dancing Badge Freshwater IOW Olympic Rings Mark

Unusual vintage enamel dancing badge featuring a dancing couple within a large blue enamel letter C.

The reverse has a particularly interesting stamped mark featuring five interlocking rings together with FRESHWATER 2552 I.O.W., referring to Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.

The five-ring mark has the appearance of the familiar Olympic rings, although the exact organisation, maker and nature of any Olympic association have not yet been confirmed, so the badge is being sold as unidentified.

Lovely vintage construction with blue and white enamel, gold-tone detailing and original pin fastening. There is age-related wear and patina to the reverse consistent with its age.

An intriguing piece for collectors of vintage dancing, ballroom, Isle of Wight, enamel badge or sporting memorabilia.
