Vintage Royal Engineers EIIR Miniature Enamel Regimental Emblem 18.6mm

Small vintage Royal Engineers enamel regimental emblem featuring the EIIR Royal Cypher, Queen’s Crown, laurel wreath and traditional Royal Engineers insignia.

Measuring approximately 18.6 mm, this is considerably smaller than a standard Royal Engineers cap badge.

The reverse is completely smooth with no pin, lugs, mounting marks or evidence of a fitting having broken away, suggesting it may originally have been produced as a small decorative emblem or insert for another item.

The EIIR cypher dates the design to the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, 1952–2022.

Attractive red and blue enamel with gilt-tone detailing and age-related wear and patina. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
